It's so cool lookin at this thinking, I got every option I wanted, and paid 10% of the original sticker price!

What a difference in MPG a year made. We have almost the same options but yours is rated better at MPG than my '99. Interesting.

take your fancy 3 valve motor and get lost !

on a side note, its amazing how much the price of our trucks keeps going up
you could pay $50k for a half ton truck these days if you wanted to.

that XTR package sounds pretty much similar to the STX package on mine - stx was $1000, your xtr option was $2500! o.O

Yeah thats crazy toadpoker, The only logic I can make of it is maybe the 3.73-3.55 gears? But in reality the best I got on the highways was 16.2(windows up, no A/C, 70mph for 200+ miles)

very interesting that Ford only rates the new 5 liter motor at 1mpg better highway and the same city as the old dinosaur 2-valve 5.4's.. especially with an old 4speed vs the new 6speed as well. \

The newer trucks get better than they are rated. I've been using my gf's truck while she is out of town. Her FX4 Screw is averaging 16 in the city and 21 on the interstate.
