Not usually, unless they did a lot of towing with the truck you should be okay. I got a buddy who had 200K before his tranny went out.

No sir, I wouldn't be concerned one bit. Every truck is different. You hear about guys replacing their engines at 50k, where some don't have any problems until 250k. Mine, well I just think it was a simple thing of that it was time for the tranny to go! The only reason I knew something was wrong was because it held 2nd gear on cold shifts, but shifted like new when warm. I dropped the tranny pan and found needle bearing and large shavings in the pan. Drove it right up until the day that the dealership replaced the tranny. But no, I wouldn't be concerned in the slightest bit. These are great trucks, and now that mine has that replaced its a great truck. Little things here and there, but thats with any used vehicle!
