Default Popping noise going over bumps

Recently replaced the CV axles in my 99 F150 5.4 XLT 4x4. When going over any change in terrain I hear a popping noise from the passenger side front end. At first I thought it was the new CV axle, but putting the truck in 4hi or 4lo eliminates the noise completely. I only hear the noise in 2wd when going over a change in terrain, no noise when turning or going straight. Any idea what this could be?

Check the caliper bracket bolts, make sure they are all there and tight. I think they are 156' lbs.

Yea , take a look, it could also be severely worn front end parts...links , tie rod, steering components. If all that is factory original up front, a lot of that stuff doesn't have the zerks to maintain service and wear. For this reason, good 3rd replacement parts incorporate zerks and last much longer.
