Popping/Clicking noise from front end?
I have a 2001 Ford F-150 lariat. Whenever i go over a bump or anything in the road, it sounds like there is a popping/clicking noise coming from the front end, more towards the driver side usually. Not sure what it could be.
I do have my stock keys turned up almost all the way.
Please help. Thanks!

My guesses would be lower ball joints or CV joints. The t-bar crank probably doesn't help matters. Better to fix it soon, though. Would be a big deal if a ball joint was to let go while driving.
Im with 10thGen on this one. I would also take a measurement from the center of your hub to the fender. You dont want that measurement to be any bigger than 24.25" or your front end will prematurely wear out.

Would you know what that measurement was from the factory? After seeing your post yesterday evening. I looked and mine is 24" if not just a little over that. If I can find the factory setting. And info on how to set it back to factory. I will get that done. Before new tires are put on in a few weeks.

Can you take your truck in a parking lot, and turn the wheel at full lock and drive in circles? If you hear the popping noise it's your CV axles. If you don't, it could be the ball joints or still the CVs. If your strong enough try to lift your truck and drop it to simulate going over a bump and do it continuously to see if you can re-create the pop. If you can I'd say it's ball joints.
Go under your truck and inspect the boots on the CVs, if they are ripped that means they are bad and is probably the source of the click. Same thing with ball joints, check the boots and make sure they are good. You might also be able to pump some grease in them if they have zerk fittings. Good news is the CVs are easy to replace. It's 6 12mm bolts (you need a 12 pt socket), and the hub nut I think is what it is called. If memory serves correctly it's a 32mm? I didn't even take the tire off my truck to replace my CV axles. I think it was like $40 for the axles, I know they weren't that expensive.
