All these have to do with O2 sensors but there are 3 (I think) which one is bad? Truck is 2000 f150 4x4 5.4L. The truck runs perfect anytime except Idle then it lurches, spits and sputters sometimes dies. It only happens in cold weather(below60). Warm weather it will idle perfect. I was told (guaranteed) it was IAC valve, replaced it, nope. Replaced air charge sensor also in the air intake. It has done this for the 2nd winter now and soon as weather warms up it quits completely. Any ideas, the cold weather, warm weather idle is perplexing me. It has 129000 miles on it

No air charge sensors on that one.

P0136 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
P0156 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2, Sensor 1)

P1131 Lack Of HO2S11 Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean
P1151 Lack Of HO2S21 Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean
Yea, you just need to service the truck. Either you have some harness problems or the O2's are smoked from lack of service.

Time to replace them all, - even the rears on that one. Good luck with that if it's never been done before.

P0155 Heated O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2, Sensor 1)
P0156 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2, Sensor 1)
P0157 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2, Sensor 2)
P0158 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 2, Sensor 2)
P0159 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2, Sensor 2)
P0160 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2, Sensor 2)
P0161 Heated O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2, Sensor 2)

Chilton/Haynes are often wrong.

If you go to my page, click on the Service Manual section, you will see a component locator. Copy and paste it to your computer and you will have where everything electrical is located.

JBrew has it as Bank 2 sensor 1, but my manual and online OBD II says it is Bank 2, rear sensor (2). This is for P0156.

P0136 is the Bank 1, rear sensor malfunction. So from what I read, both rear O2's are out. Your p1131 and P1151 are lean reading codes for the O2 sensors. This could be a vacuum leak, bad O2 sensors (front), or even fuel injector, clogged fuel filter, or bad fuel pump.

All said, I'd change the rear 2 Oxygen sensors first and do a reset on the system. If the P1131 or 51 come back, then check for a vacuum leak and check the front O2's readings. Good luck.

What are the odds of both rear sensors going out at the same time?

Really? http://autorepair.about.com/gi/o.htm...trouble_codes/

Yea your right. That's strange. Earlier I pulled the DTC's from the SVT site. Huh.

Good Catch.

One or both are not common at all. I'd check the harness. It loops from one side to the other over the trans. I'd do some inspecting under there for sure first. You don't want to get into the rears, if you don't have to. They often take the bung hole threads with them.
