plug for trailer

Default plug for trailer

I got a trailer for my 98 f150 XL v6, i cant seem to find the wire plug for the trailer to control the lights. Where is it located?? If there isnt one what all do i need to wire it? Thanks.

wat kind of trailer?do you have pics of trailer?Depending on the trailer-it might have a 4 wire or a 7 wire system.

Default trailer plug

I have a '99 f150 v6 too. I found my 4-prong wiring plug tucked way up on top of the bumper. Reach under & feel around or crawl under the rear bumper. I'm pretty sure you have one.

You probably have one tucked up under the bumper somewhere. If not they make kits that go inline with your brake light for super cheap and you can get them at any walmart or auto parts store.
