Miran- what wolves is trying to establish is the condition of the differential- by your early posts, it didnt sound as if there was a problem there.
That said- if you jack up the van, (and dont forget to use jack stands)- put it in neutral, and release the parking brake, when you turn the driveshaft, it should turn without any binding.

I would rule out the EGR first, since that could throw off everything mentioned and then some. She'll run totally wacked. The DTC's are real enough, sucking exhaust gases can kill anything lol.

Anyway, check that. The easy and fast method, just block port, then take a test run.

Also when low on tranny fluid, they can get goofy and usually stall in reverse.
