2000 f150 ticking only during slow acceleration
Hi all and thanks in advance for any feedback. I have a 2000 f150 5.4 and have a ticking noise when accelerating. I've spent months reading forums looking for people that have had a similar issue but without any luck (that's similar to mine). Here's my situation: Idles fine. Runs fine in town and on freeway. If I have weight in the bed, reversing I have a "card in spokes" type clicking/tapping/ticking sound.. AND worse of all, when I accelerate it's there. Doesn't stay, as I get up to about 20mph it stops. Or if I let off the gas it stops. I'm lost. I've replaced all coils, spark plugs, pcv valve and line. Again, I appreciate ANY advice or direction in advance. Thanks

Months really ?
Loose plug or leaky exhaust manifold gasket passenger side rear should came up in your search pretty quick.
Check for those couple of possibilities.

Maybe, sometimes they crack, other times it's just the rear passenger side bolts break.
Might want to figure it out pretty quick. If its a just a loose plug, you don't want it tearing up plug chamber threads then blowing out. It's a much easier fix catching it early.
