Default Papa got some brand new shoes!

I've been debating which rims to get for some time, while waiting for my tires to wear out enough to justify replacing them. Well, commuting from Ft Worth to Austin for a month, and finally moving here, my old tires were shot! They would slide around in the slightest wet weather. So, I finally pulled the trigger got some new 20" rims and tires yesterday.

The new tires are about an inch wider and just a hair larger in diameter. The extra contact (and the fact that they aren't bald) sure makes them handle better than my old tires! The ride is still pretty nice, despite these being much lower profile than the OEM tires.

Those look nice dude, hope you didnt get the big wheel/tire bug like i did lol i first had 20's w/ 275/45/r20 tires, wanted em bigger so i went to 275/55/r20. Looked good but then wanted bigger rims, Upgraded to 285/40r22, Liked em even more than the 20's. after a while i wanted the biggest tire i could fit without rubbing or lifting my truck so i now have 305/40r22 and i am completly satisfied. First pic is the 20's with the 275/55, second is the 22's with the 305/40

I really don't know any of the figures on these rims. MB Wheels is Discount Tires' private brand. They don't give any specs on their website. They get pretty good reviews online, and at $175 each, the price is pretty reasonable.

That's pretty cool about the Counting Cars factoid!

Nah... I wanted lower profile tires, and I'm pretty happy with what I got. Next comes exhaust and an Expy console conversion.
