Default 04 Heritage Power steering stiff

My powersteering pump is quiet when I first start the truck cold but whines when I have the wheel fully turned in either direction. After it warms up it steers great but is a little whiny but when I'm turning around or backing slow it's stiff and makes a bunch of whining sounds. This pump is a reman that the P.O had installed about a year ago. Any thoughts?

Let's cover the basic question here... is the reservoir full? If so, I would look for something like a pinched line. Otherwise, you probably have a bad pump.

Yes the reservoir is full, lines aren't pinched. I was thinking about trying some bars leak power steering additive and see if it would quiet it up.

I solved it by suctioning out the reservoir and topping off with synthetic fluid. Quiet as can be now.

I've never seen a power steering system that didn't have warnings against operating the system at the extremes of the steering angles. --turned to the extremes, it will eat the pump.
