Oil sprayed everywhere/Misfire
I had a forum up few weeks ago, but no help so hoping this one may.
Parked my truck because I started it up and heard something kind of whiny/hose type squeal and drove down a road before I realized my oil level was below L so I turned around and there was oil everywheres in my driveway. (When i drove it, it didn't feel rough or anything)
Before all this I changed my oil a week prior, but my oil filter is on secure and my drain bolt on my pan is secure as well. I also have been driving on a misfire underload for some time now (assuming its just a coilpack problem being it only runs rough when around 1500-1800rpm) then goes back to normal.
Anyways, I can't find where it all came out from. Idk if an oil cap makes sense at all because it looks like a lot of oil around it? (Possibly the little rubber ring gasket???)
Idk any input other than being a complete d*ck would be nice. I'm 19 and learning so take it easy.
Also another thing to note is I drive a 2000 Scab 4.6L that has 105,000km on it (roughly 62,000 miles coverted).
Ps. Driving a corolla now because my life is a mess.

Fordfan was referring to the filter gasket. Are you sure the gasket came off with the old filter when you changed the oil? A doubled filter gasket is a possibility however, it would likely start leaking immediately on the first startup after changing.

That's a problem creator right there. All the help in world won't work unless you physically do it for him.
