Oil leak underneath headers 97 Ford F-150
Hey guys I noticed and oil leak couple days ago on my 1997 Ford F1 50 at first I thought it was The oil filler tube but it appears that it's coming out underneath the headers. my engine coolant though is perfectly fine. it's kind of a severe leak I've lost about a quart and a half of oil. what can this be head gasket?? but I would think it would mess with my coolant though any ideas

Clean it up and see, throw some clumpless cat litter on it. Nah, degrease the area and pinpoint the leak, where from first.

That's a lot of oil, you'll find it quick I expect.

So a quick drive became a 30 minute drive stop at the parking lot and got these pictures. doesn't look like it's leaking very much but it's almost like it's coming out of the threads on the header bolts WTF. there's no signs of leaking anywhere else I did a thorough inspection the head gasket looks fine what is this.

Dont know.
Is it blowing back there from up front?
Exhaust studs dont usually leak oil....
Btw, those are cast exhaust manifolds. We know what you mean, but headers are a different performance item that induces exhaust scavenging on the cylinders to increase the fresh fuel/air to them.

I was thinking maybe your gasket for the oil filter adapter until you said it was in the PCV too. Now I tend to agree with carcrazy.
