If it is sweet smelling remember the coolant could also be from changing the top radiator hose or thermostat. Those both would cause coolant to get in that area of the motor.

My thermostat is the original one and the only time I did anything with the radiator was when the radiator was replaced about 3-4 years ago so idk if that's what happened for me

Pretty much. both my valve covers leak and theres oil in pretty much the same spots as yours. i'll take some pictures of my motor later ( 5.4 ) and post and you can compare. but i think yours is the same.
