Today I removed my door guards, and wow are my fingers sore and blistered, but it was worth it. I love the look! There's a bit of yellowing right above where the bottom pieces of double sided tape were, but nothing that can't be handled with some compound.
No turning back now!
And done

Meh, the sheet metal on these trucks is so thick that I wouldn't worry about it. I was at Advanced Auto a few weeks ago, and parked in a tight spot. This girl came out of the store just after us and got into her Kia Rio. She smashed her door into mine and gave me a dirty look. I just laughed at her tin can which now had a crease on her door. No damage to the truck. Our door guards are so high that they wont even line up with most car doors. Her door hit my running board.
