OBD Scanner
Can anyone recommend a cheap scanner that I can read live data on while driving? If that's possible, I don't know anything about them.
I have a 2003 F150 5.4 and a 1999 F250 V10 and the V10 has the common misfire where it randomly misses under a load at 50ish mph but no CEL.
I guess I could spend an afternoon unplugging each COP but figured I could narrow it down with a scanner. Unless someone knows another trick?

You don't need to read live data. Unplugging cops won't be easy or safe at 50 mph.
Mode data is the way. The cheap ODBII readers may or may not be able to read mode data - depends on how charitable the knockoff manufacturer was when they cloned the chips.
Best bet is a Ford specific code reader like ODBlink MX+ with FORScan software.

Thanks for the replies. I'll get one of these scanners with Mode 6 or Live data and try to narrow it down to which cylinder it is. My luck it's probably one that's hard to get to lol. I've had COPs go out/misfires in the 2006 3V I had but had them changed at the shop because I had other issues with it, but I'll try to fix this one myself.

I ended up getting a OBDLink MX+, it works with my BMW motorcycle and works with the Forscan software. The OBDLink software has mode 6 as well.
Well, after much googling, YouTube, and reading on here, it would seem my 1999 F250 SD V10 has an OBD1 system, so I can't see misfires on a particular cylinder in Mode 6, only that misfires were detected (ID 56). I hooked scanner to my 2003 F150 and can see ID53 for each cylinder misfires along with a few other options that my 1999 didn't have.
