Yes, A Comp Orange PP GT. I'm super excited. I built my last Modular 2v to 630rwhp but I sold it after my munchkin was born. It just took up too much of my time. Now that she's older and we are in a better place in life, we can have lots of car fun.

Last summer for my 40th, I bought the '68 but that's turned into a huge production, lol. I haven't really got to Drive it. (Threw a Rod on the way back from the Exhaust shop.)

You obviously know very little about this modular, your strengths are in the older push rod engines. All your previous posts here noticeably have proven exactly that. You always put this engine into the push rod engine category which is very different for one reason....the tuning program capabilities.
So really, your just making conversation when you already know your best bet is dump the truck. If you attempt to do anything other, it's going to cost you. Your lack of interest in this platform shows, but it also shows where your strengths are.
I think you should get rid of the truck all together. Set yourself up with a DD and spend your free time building a push-rod project car...muscle car perhaps. Seems to me that would make you happier, it's what interests you or has before anyway.

If you by chance are really going to go threw with this header thing or cat-less Y, your forgetting or perhaps don't even know key points that make these systems work effectively. As of now, your going to learn the hard way since this isn't way or thought process. Your missing too much I'm afraid.
The Rusting part is the Y-pipe. Nothing else. Replacing that with a catless midpipe would fix the problem. It would do it correctly & cheaper. When I do sell the truck, whenever that may be, the next guy wont have to worry about it. ..and if I keep it, I won't have to worry about it.

Now that is a great looking car! She looks pretty excited about it too. Lol

I knew you had the 68 but I didnt know it threw a rod. That really is a bummer.

I think I would love to have a go fast car but I know I would get into way too much trouble. So I am looking around for a good solid Bronco to build.

Thanks Guys. This has been one of my dream cars for a while now. It's the perfect mix of everything I like, it didn't cost a fortune and it'll get me on the track for some seat time. Not forgetting to mention Cruises & Car shows, which my wife and little one love. When my wife and I were talking about finally buying a new Mustang, I never dreamed I would find or get exactly what I wanted. I'm really not worthy of it.

I'm going to do some SCCA & AutoX events next summer before I think about the power adders.

It's a '16 and it only had 5k miles on it. :0)

Right, you got me there, I didn't put that together correctly at first. I thought you meant the truck itself. It makes sense now....that part anyway. So I apologize for that.

But still, you cannot just throw a cat-less Y on your truck and call it good. Your low end will be so unbelievably terrible, the truck won't be able to get out it's own way. There's only two ways to do this in order for it to work. Up to this point, you haven't mentioned one of them. Your proposing to do something that absolutely will not work, and that's what I meant by learning the hard way.


You should be asking for options that will work and what it will take to achieve them. Like I said, there's only two for your set up.

Mann is that Stang a beauty , the only vehicle I like that color on...Super Sharp!
