Which O/R Y-pipe w/ stock manifolds??

Which O/R Y-pipe w/ stock manifolds??
Before you say it, I know I should go with Long tubes but I'm not sure the Truck is going to stay around much longer.
Long Tubes and this motor would be money & time wasted at this point. What catless Y-pipe is out there? Since I always only considered LT's I never paid attention to what people go with for this. I'd need it to bolt to stock manifolds since I"m not going through the hassle of changing them.
If for some reason, I keep the truck past this winter, it'll mean I'm going full retard and building a new engine, dumpiing truckloads of money into it; so wasting $150 on a catless midpipe wouldn't be a big deal.
Obviously it's an 01 4x4 5.4 PITA Edition

It's sad that so many of us think in all or nothing logic when it comes to mods, HAHA. I don't want to do just a midpipe either but it's better than replacing Cats. :0)P

I did a search, and about all I saw was to be installed with long tubes. I get so used to being able to buy things like that for my Mustang, I kind of take it for granted, lol.
As far as my Mustang... In the past, I have gutted cats in a pinch. It has worked out rather well, but I do think my straight pipes sound a bit better.
Have you considered gutting your cats? Or maybe your pipes aren't in decent enough shape? Mine are still in pretty dang good shape for being 21 years old.

I have, but it's real close to rusting though in a few points. It's so bad the state safety inspection guy said there's no way it'll pass next years inspection. lol It's all compounded because I only drive the truck a few hundred miles a month so it just sits there and rusts away.
I also thought finding a midpipe was going to be easy coming from the Mustangs. If I do put on LT's it wouldn't only benefit the next owner and the headache I'd have to deal with trying to get the Stock manifolds off just isn't worth it, lol. ..actually getting the manifolds themselves off wouldn't be the problem since several studs are already missing, it's the bolt extractions. haha

A Y pipe shouldn't be any more than $150-200 if there are any. Up here in Virginia, they charge labor by the Gold bar. Something as simple as that would start at $250. I'd be doing the work myself if I can find something but I don't have the drive to fab something custom.
I did end up buying a new Mustang so this might just get pushed out till next month. :0)

I'm not sure if your just board or whatnot, but your post makes no sense at all. Why keep a vehicle that won't past inspection next year? You don't even talk about fixing the rust which seems to be the real issue of keeping it on the road.
You obviously know very little about this modular, your strengths are in the older push rod engines. All your previous posts here noticeably have proven exactly that. You always put this engine into the push rod engine category which is very different for one reason....the tuning program capabilities.
So really, your just making conversation when you already know your best bet is dump the truck. If you attempt to do anything other, it's going to cost you. Your lack of interest in this platform shows, but it also shows where your strengths are.
I think you should get rid of the truck all together. Set yourself up with a DD and spend your free time building a push-rod project car...muscle car perhaps. Seems to me that would make you happier, it's what interests you or has before anyway.
If you by chance are really going to go threw with this header thing or cat-less Y, your forgetting or perhaps don't even know key points that make these systems work effectively. As of now, your going to learn the hard way since this isn't way or thought process. Your missing too much I'm afraid.
