No more dinging
my truck since ive got i 2 months ago would constantly beep, 5 beeps 5 times and then keep doing it r stp for an hour then start again, tried every fix and nothing worked. finally located the dinger today.

Pretty sure that's the back up alarm to alert you that your airbag light is out... replace the light and I bet it stops beeping.
So your truck makes a noise with a factory installed part and you think, yeah just take it out, it surely doesn't mean anything?
Once you replace the bulb, it will light up and you count the flashes for a LFC (light fault code) and then you can fix whatever is wrong with your airbag system.

Yeah... that has a purpose. No way in hell would I take that outta there, lol.
I had a friend that used to take the dinger out that tells you that you left your keys in the car..... guess who I always had to go rescue because he locked his keys in the car?

You've got two. One in the dash and one above the keyed switch for the passenger.

The light in the key switch needs to be soldered, BTW. I've got in my notes that it is a Radio Shack P/N 272-1141 that works for it. Look like they are sold out though.
