Default No blocks in the rear?

So yesterday I put a couple hundred pounds in the back of my 99. It made it sit perfectly level. I decided I was going to take the block out so it was always level but come to find out there's no block. Any ideas why? Also is there another way to drop the back a little bit? It's a 99 ecsb 2wd 4.6 with the towing package. (with 268xxx I don't trust the tranny to tow) the truck is pretty much our family car I don't haul much or tow much with that truck. Any help is appreciated

I just put drop shackles in my 97 from auto zone. They cost about 40 bucks. Real easy took about an hour to do by myself. The part number is 13-4100. They right on the shelf. They also hhave poly bushings. It still sits high in the back because of the rear tires

The 2wd models dont have rear blocks, the 4x4s have 2" blocks im pretty sure. As stated, your cheapest and best looking way to lower the rear is drop shackles.
