I don't think any of you even know what that winch is for, based on the comments.

I like it and thats what Ill be doing with mine in the near future and was planning on running the same winch. We sell ALOT of the Badlands ATV winches and we have had no issues with them and we have put a few through some serious abuse.

The funny thing about the Badlands winches is the mysteriously look ALOT like the Superwinches in every way including when we tore a couple apart and the motors are identical. So we are thinking Badland winches are likely Superwinches seconds that have cosmetic flaws or something along that line.

Does anyone have a hidden winch on their truck?

Quick way to really identify a cable capacity is to measure its overall diameter.. I know for a fact my 12k Warn uses a 3/8".

I know the winch is not a warn and believe me, I'd buy one if I had the extra $1000 laying around. I actually wasn't planning on getting a winch for a while but when I saw a coupon for the 12000lb for $270.... I couldn't help it! plus for $30 bucks more you get a no questions asked return or swap it out with a new winch for 3 years. The winch should pay for its self after like 2 uses haha. The hitch mount will be welded on too plus the bolts so I know its on there good! and The tray its sitting on is only rated for 9000lb but I got it to get the winch on the truck untill I bought a heavy duty one or beefed this one up... plus if I'm doing a 9000lb straight pull, I'm probably already screwed haha
and anyone thinking about getting this winch

Looks good, sticks so far out though.

Let us know how it works.. I've wanted a winch for a while and would love to attach 1 for the JUST IN CASE situations... and 12k for $270 seems pretty decent. Especially if you have a 3year warranty no questions asked return.

I don't think I've seen a coupon for 1, but I'll keep my eye out..
