New Truck Advice
I currently have a '92 that I know like the back of my hand, but it's gone through 2 ECM's in 2 days. I don't have time to find the electrical gremlin, so I'm looking for a new truck. I found a nice '01 model SCAB with a 5.4, manual transfer case, and 96k miles for ~$8,500. These are the only pics I took. Cosmetically perfect exterior, nearly perfect interior (except for a small & fixable hole in the drivers seat), and I think the power mirror switch is bad. Is this a good deal? I need help getting my parents to co-sign since I'm only 19. Anything else I should look for in it? It drove perfect.

$9000 sounds like a bit much for a 01. $6500 sounds about right for me. Take it to a shop for a quick once over. Get the VIN and peak at the Carfax. They're great trucks. My 99 5.4 just ticked past 394,000 miles. If you don't get that one, look for another in this generation.

I would make sure the plugs have recently been changed and make sure the coolants been flushed. My coolant looked like s*** when I bought mine and ended up blowin a head gasket.
Other then that, check for rust under the doors. Good looking truck if ya ask me. Good luck!

I think that's a little steep, but if you could get em to knock off a thousand dollars I'd say its a good truck! Make sure it's dry underneath! Like David said, look for one in this generation.

You'll always pay more from a dealer, I only paid $8000 for my 02 screw lariat and its very clean but it has 150,000 on it. I would def have it checked out at an independent shop and then try and get them down a grand and if they won't budge well then it's up to you if what they want is worth it to you. Good luck

It's actually the best deal I've found so far. Idk where y'all are all at, but around here, it's not common to see 150k miles and them want around $8-9k, even for older ones. I hate dealers, but the salesman I'm working with is trying to get me $1000 outta a non-running $2000 truck for trade. If someone finds a better deal within 100miles of 42376, I'd love to know.

I don't think its to bad of a deal. I'm in Philpot, so I understand the prices. I paid 12k for mine back in 09 with 39k miles. Is that the car lot down by Daviess co middle school? I would be sure to take it to a shop and have it looked over. I'd also get all the the previous owners information and make contact. Good luck with it though.
