Put like 33" mud terrain tire on with that size of a lift and it would still look pretty aggressive

So wouldn't a 285/75/16 be exactly like a 33" inch tire? They are about 2 inches shorter and 1 inch skinnier than my 315/75/16's now according to the tire calculator...

I think 285's are 31" tires

It depends on your rims. I have 285 70 17 and its like a 32.5x11 I believe. Maybe slightly smaller. And if I'm correct a 305 is a "true" 33 inch tire. but I'm prolly wrong.

Truck also has small radiator fluid leak coming from rear of engine and I think the A/C also has a leak. Two tires are brand new (315/75/16) and front two are bad. Im gonna trade the two new ones in a downsize to 4 (285/75/16). Truck has a 3-4 inch lift, a superchip, throttle body spacer, cold air intake with k&n filter, and was recently tuned up. BUT, before anything it will be put on a lift to see if the frame is ok.

Also, up until 3 years ago the truck was in Arizona so there is no rust.

here is a pic of the front and pics of underneath cause im trying to figure out what type of lift it has.
I dont see more than 2k worth of fixes, thats still a hell of a deal and it'll b nice knowing you have all that stuff replaced and new on your truck.

03FX4604 thanks bro, was hoping to keep it at $1500, but we'll see.

RicheysFX4 and zavaral, according to the tire size calculator :

315/75/16's are 34.6" high and 12.4" wide
305/70/16's are 32.81" high and 12" wide
285/75/16's are 32.83 high and 11.22"

looks like in 16" rims the 285's and 305's are like 33"s and the 315's are 35's...
I am afraid the 285's are gonna look small with a 4" lift, and the 305's are gonna look smaller and too wide.

Cant figure out what to do about the tires...

I got a 97 xlt scab 4x4. Like yours but black and it has 285 with a 17" rim on a torsion twist. No blocks or anything in the back just cranked tbars. So I think 35's would be perfect

zavaral I already have 315/75/16's on there. Two are brand new and two are bald. I want to downsize a little bit and cant figure out what tire size to get. I want them to be a little skinnier and a little shorter and I want to stay with the 16" rims i have... BUT, i dont want them to look stupid cause of the 4" lift.
