Default New owner 1997 F150 with a blinker question

Hi I'm new here and also the new owner of a 1997 F150. I tried searching but found nothing on this topic. My passenger side front blinker only works part of the time. I changed the bulb and that didn't help. Sometimes when I hit the blinker, the blinker sound goes really fast and the front blinker doesn't blink but the rear blinks real fast. Should I be looking for a short? Where should I look? Thanks and I've read this site for a while now before I decided to buy. I appreciate all the info.

My mustang does the EXACT same thing. If I move the switch slightly when it is blinking fast it blinks normally. So I know I need a new switch. I actually have on in my tool box just to lazy to put it on..lol

I just went outside and moved it slowly and it seems that makes it work more. I guess I need to look into getting a new switch. Thanks for the heads up

My switch does the same thing, but only when its in the 30s or below outside. No problem when its warm. It could be the lubrication thats used on the switch.

I have replaced many many multifunction switches in ALL Fords.. Just a crap design I guess.
