Default New Moog Lower ball joint loose

2001 F150 XLT regular cab 2WD

I bought 2 new lower ball joints Moog K8695T.

On installation they start tight and once seated fully they are loose and move around in the hole. I have tried both new ball joints to see if one of them might have been made a little bit out of tolerance.

The old ball joint was worn out but fit in the hole tightly.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

What do you mean tight? Was it pressed in? Did it take force?

Yeah, they should be extremely tight. Just as hard going in as was coming out.

Moog makes two LBJ's for our trucks. One is a few thousandths larger than stock to deal with exactly this issue.

Moog's K8695T006 are the oversized lowers.
