If you can remove the light guards I would, but I wouldn't remove the whole thing

Thought that Browning would do a quick photochop for you, but guess his oil problem is a tad bit more important right now.

Here's a quick one for you to get an idea. Sorry for not taking out the shadows... I got lazy

Ebay is a good place to get them cheaper. Got mine from a Ford dealership parts department selling on there.
Plus I got these used, but you can't tell except for the lack of backing tape.

Thumbs up Power Locking Tailgate

I am new to the forum, my introduction is here. I am also new to this particular P/U. I was looking around and saw the mods in the FAQ sticky, then saw this thread.
Knowing how easy it is to remove a tailgate and seeing the rate of tailgate thefts, I am glad I have a locking tailgate. However I forget most of the time. I know there is a way I can make this work. I was wondering if anyone has done this.

If you are worried about forgetting to lock your tailgate, they do have power lock kits for them. Should be able to tie them into the system also. With that in mind, welcome to the forum!

Probably a dumb question, but did the holes with the new badges match up with the holes in the old ones?

They cover the holes up, but the pegs don't go in the same spot, they have to be removed
