new member looking for good nerf bars for son to use
evening folks,
New member here... although I have lurked here and there to find answers to issues I have had... I figured I'd join in order participate and hopefully help someone else that may have gone through what I have in the past. My truck...soon to be my son's in a couple years is a 99 XLT extended cab 4 door. A few dings from his older brother. I would like to put a set of nerf bars on it. Black ones. Purely functional/stout. Not sure it will survive the teenage years. I have Westin on my other truck and they have held up well. Question for you folks... are there brands to stay away from and brands that are recommended. I really want a set that fits like a glove and bolts right up. Also... I am in the Austin tx area if that matters. what say the experienced folks...??? |

Had N-Fabs on my last truck and loved them! I believe GoRhino sells basically the same thing but for a little cheaper. Attachment 333762
They were Line-X'ed Wayne |

I personally want the N-fab ones like what Z7what has, but I just got a cheap pair of 3" arias steps. They have held up well (I am 16, so keep that in consideration), the only complaint I have, is I wish they would have hung down about 1 more inch, other than that, darn sturdy steps for the truck. I will connect a pic that I think best shows the steps (disregard the fender, my lug nuts stripped out, and my tire came off going down the road).

^99.9% of steps made for our truck bolt up using existing holes on the body. No drilling required!

I had these on my truck:
