Well my cousin said that he bought the truck like that from the dealer, so he thought it was factory also. Guess some kind of dealer add on?
He said it is not an alarm though, just an anti theft deal? I did find a little button under the dash, not sure what it does.

My dad's old tundra had one, and one of my friends screw does to. My guess it is just a thrift deterrent. I dont think it doesn't do anything, just to intimidate any person thinking about breaking in.

It actually does do something. If you unlock the truck and wait more than a minute, the truck will not start (starter will not even engage). If you lock the doors before starting it, it will not start.
So you have to unlock the door (remote, keypad or key) and start it within a minute or it will not start. If a minute passes and you have not started it, you just have to unlock it again (with the key off) and it will start.

What year is their Supercrew?

Not sure what the button under the dash does, I don't want to push it and it blow the truck up .

Yes this beauty has some issue's but depends about $'s. If engine and tran's in good shape it will be a very nice project. The body style and color is supreme.
