Default New exhuast!

Well here are some pics of my new exhaust setup. Also included is my account of how things went ad my overall impression of the parts.

First here are the pics

Here is the parts list
Pacesetter Armor coat headers
Pacesetter 3 OR Y-pipe
3" SI/SO Borla Pro xs
3" Magnaflow Replacement tailpipe for a 99-03
3"/5" polished stainless tip

First impressions:
The headers fit great. No clearence issue at all. During install I pulled the motor mount center bolts to lift the engine a slight amount to make install a lot easier. The y-pipe on the other hand did not fit. According to Pacesetter it will fit a 97. But after looking at a 99 I came to find that the 97-98 Transmission crossmember is further towards the rear of the truck buy about 6". I had a exhaust shop extend the y-pipe to fit.

The fit and finish of the Borla muffler, and Magnaflow tail pipe were exceptional. No complaints with them at all.

Overall sound:
It is extremely loud when in throttle. Especially not having any cats gives it the striaght pipe pop, which I'm trying to eliminate via a resonator. But while coasting there is 0 drone which is why I went with the Borla. On long trip my previous flowmaster setup would give me a head ache because of the drone. So overall I am very happy with the new setup.

Awesome set up man!! Keep us updated on how you like the pacesetter headers compared to your old obx headers. Are you running a custom tune?

I have to wait on the custom tune till pay day, some how damaged both front oxygen sensors upon removal of the old stuff. Currently getting codes for the o2's not switching. But yes custom tunes from MPT are coming. Why did you switch to a diablo?

By any chance do you have a part number for the magnaflow tail pipe? I'm looking at redoing my exhaust and I have the same headers and ypipe as you I just couldn't find a 3in tail pipe.

My pacesetter y-pipe didn't fit either, hell it didn't even come close to fitting. That's the same tailpipe that I bought but instead of a 5" tip I went with a 6" tip.
