What's your oil and exhaust gases look like? Could be a head gasket if isn't leaking anywhere.

Is there any water in the oil/ is your exhaust smoking white more than normal. If the cap is good and not leaking, hoses aren't leaking, and heater core isn't leaking, the only place for coolant to escape would be through the head due to a bad head gasket.

Actually I think it is my cap cause when I turn off my truck I hear this really airy noise underneath the hood like its letting go a lot of the air it holds

Well make sure it's not leaking into the oil. Check your oil see if it looks milky. Best be 110% sure it's not that.

replace the radiator cap .
Usually the gasket becomes worn and steam will seep form there .
Has your truck been getting hot ? Also the radiator may be clogged causing the water to over heat .
You should use distilled water in the radiator and 50/50 water /antifreeze.
If the problem continues then replace the thermostat .

you may actually have a small leak from the water pump gasket , pump weep hole , thermostat gasket that drips onto the hot engine and evaporates on contact . Look for water/ antifreeze staining . Keep us posted .

x1000! my engine went bad shortly after the same symptoms you are mentioning. check your radiator and water pump for ANY leakage or corrosion. also check as aformentioned (forgive the spelling) the oil. if it's the headgaskets or the radiator leaking you better get it looked at or you could be Like me and wind up putting 4000 into a used engine or more for one new or used instead of just repairing your headgaskets and getting a new radiator and water pump.

Depends if you can do the work yourself or not. For the price, I'll just leave it at it's not cheap. Replace the cap use the other suggestions on here to see if it is leaking anywhere.
