New air filter, bad need help
I just installed a new spectra air filter(filter only) on my existing spectra CAI tube. this is the set up i got going on, sort exhaust meets up after cats on passenger side no y-pipe or converter (not my doing, like that when i got it) into glass packs and stops. onld filter was just a normal cone no opening on the end.
Now just new filter with opening at end, no other changes. and it runs like crap just bad like its getting to much air or somthing it just feels like its going to stall all the time. idles like befor and you can rev up in park or neutral and it is just fine but in gear driving its just BAD.

Try disconnecting your battery and wait a few mins then connect it again then start it. Ive heard the computer has to compensate for increased airflow changes. I was told to do this when i installed the Gott's mod on my 4.6

I sorta had the same problem on my truck. It was the little sensor (I think its a sensor) the plug on the top of the throttle body.. that plug was just unplugged. Maybe this happen to you also?
Heres to wishful thinking! ALways love an easy fix!

A good rule of thumb to always remember.
If you do a mod of any kind that 'MIGHT" improve performance even if its something slight ALWAYS disconnect the battery for a couple minutes or while you do the mod then reconnect. This will insure the computer is reset and can relearn any changes made.

Yes it will as long as the engines are the same a 5.4 y pipe will not work on 4.6 etc. What i had done was put magna flow cats on just one and had a fella make the pipe to fit it. You can buy the o2 sensor threads to weld on to your pipe. Good luck
