Until you post the specs of the wheels you'll be running nobody can answer how much you'll have to trim. 0 offset probably none.. -24 offset you'll cut a lot.

Just buy them, put them on and turn the wheels, if it hits.. Trim it, if it's close to hitting.. Trim it

was going to take it to the technical school. my dads friend is the head welding instructor. he said if i help and do a lot of welding he will od it for $600. problem is it will take at least 5 days to do everything he said he wants to do and the school is about an hour away from me and i dont have another DD. he wants to put sheet metal in the bed to patch a few holes. take the bed off and replace the bed support bars. sandblast the frame and paint it. just do all kinds of stuff for bout $500.

If he wants to do that for $500 then go rent a car! It takes hours and hours of work to clean a frame and paint it,trust me on that lol.

If your body mounts are rusted out I would suspect your trucks safety integrity is compromised.

Fixing that should be number 1 priority. Worry about aftermarket parts once you have a sound and solid truck.

How has the maintenance been besides the rust? I'm sure it is in need of other things.

A cool looking truck that doesn't run or injures the driver or anyone else is not something we want to happen...but hey, at least it will look cool if it ends up as a lawn ornament.

Also, would the amount of trimming sway your decision? You can't see anywhere I have trimmed unless you put your head behind my wheel. And even then I made it look good with the rotozip. It's not like you'd have to cut off half the bumper.

it might sway my decision im not sure.
and it needed a lot.
upper and lower ball joints
break lines
i need a new pipe that goes from my gas hole to my tank because its rusted and leaks.
the body mounts arent so bad. need a thick piece of metal welded on both sides and it will be good. whats weird is my frame is shiit and my body is amazin. origional rockers and cab corners. everythings clean but the bed. some rust holes in it.
also i was miss firing bad so i got a tune up an found out my 3 and 5 postons had no compression causing the miss fire. fixed that
changed the spark plugs
got after market wiring for the spark plugs.
running great now.
but i hit a bad bump or something one day and broke my o2 sensor off. thats messing up my gas and it makes a terrible noice form my exhaust. getting that fixed. also when it snowed both my front abs sensors gave out. guna get new bearings that have the sensors on them already. after the all the sensors and the gas leak is fixed the last thing is the body mount then she will be pretty again. had the engine and tranny rebuilt when i bought it and the mechanic said it was still a strong good motor so everything seems to be going good besides o2 sensor and gas leak problem

Holy cow batman.

You say "i need a new pipe that goes from my gas hole to my tank because its rusted and leaks." You must have a death wish and are waiting for natural selection to run its course.

AND YOU'RE STILL DRIVING IT AND WONDERING WHICH RIMS TO BUY?!?!?! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!

Please, for the safety of everyone around you please do not drive anymore. Park that until you fix the critical issues.

I'm confused - you had the engine and trans replaced before or after you had no compression on 2 cylinders?
I think he means the filler tube, which would only leak while putting gas in it. But for all the issues he has/had he should've gotten a truck without so many issues.

I'm sorry but are you serious? You realize that gas vaporizes right? The vapor is what ignites not the liquid. There is a reason the gas cap creates a seal and it hisses when you unscrew it slowly.

Fumes can still get out of the rust hole. One spark and KABOOM!!! No more lz150 worrying about putting 16.5" tires on 16" rims.
