apologize this will be long and you know why if you've ever owned a 4.6 triton before. I don't plan on giving up on my work horse yet. I own a 99 f150 and it has recently been idling very rough and shaking like it is going to stall. My check engine light came on shortly after this started happening. I bought a code reader to see why this was happening, the code reader would not turn on. I found that it had blown its fuse under the dash (#3, 25). Every time I try to put a new fuse in, it blows right away. At the same time I realized the door locks stopped working, they would go halfway down and pop back up as if they did not have enough power. When using the remote the truck would honk as if it was locked but it wasn't. Also the doors would unlock. I need help from anyone! please!!

The engine problem is most likley your EGR valve, - it's stuck partially open. OR your cats are plugged , - close to it anyway.

Other problems are GEM related...my guess.

Now, you at-least have something to research.
