Default HELP! pulled heavy trailer, rear end now sags...

I pulled a heavy trailer across country and of course the back end is gona sag with a trailer on it but once i unhooked it the back end was sittin 1-2 inches lower... did the shocks blow out or what

99 F150 4x4 lariat ext cab... stock suspension

The shocks don't support weight, they just dampen forces.

me thinks you busted sumthin.

Could've sagged your springs.. hmm. I've had this happen before when I had a truck lifted with blocks. Can you take a picture of your leaf springs? Like front to back, not side picture... What's it look like they are doing?

if you bottomed the shock out then yes it can cause sagging, if it is bottomed out it will binde and not extend causing rear to sit lower, try jacking up frame and re-extending the shock if it works buy new ones, because there shot

if you gonna pull heavy stuff get a d.m.i hitch or gooseneck it supports the weight alot better
