There's a red connected to purge EVAP, in 54-3100's photo...huh! Thought for sure those were all white. Well, I don't know V6's as well as the V8's it seems lol.

That's what I thought. Perhaps there's more than one layout color for these engines. (?)

Thank you everyone for your replies. I did think to take some pics of various hoses, etc. in the engine bay before I began all this--I just didn't take as many as I needed to, apparently. But your info has been enough for me to go back and confirm that yes, the yellow/discolored white line definitely goes to the purge solenoid, as already stated. That leads me to think I'm correct about the red one going to the FPR. I'll see if the black one might route the way 54-3100's does.

Should there be any vacuum lines going to the IMRC controller, or is that all electronic?

My 99 is just like yours. my black hose goes here. 51-3100 setup is different than the older aluminum intake motors

Kd4gij, sorry--the black hose on your truck goes where? The pic you posted looks like the same one 51-3100 posted earlier, with a later plastic intake.

Thanks again to everyone who's replied so far. I have most of the lines we've previously discussed figured out, but there are a few things I'm still not sure about.

First, this guy. What's the name of this thing with three hoses at the back of the intake even called?

Is each fitting in the picture above labeled correctly? If so, where do those three hoses go? If not, please tell me how it's wrong.

Next: This 90-degree elbow (with the hose attached, pointing left) coming off the bottom of the upper intake manifold, directly behind the throttle body. What does it connect to? Based on what's left, it's got to be one of the hose barbs on the thing above or the PCV valve, right?

Next: This hose (the smaller, ribbed one with the hose clamp tabs visible, not the heater hose) coming off the lower intake manifold. Again, PCV or intake manifold thing, right?

Again, thank you so much for your help. My current nightmare is hooking these lines up wrong and sending coolant into a vacuum passage. I'm so close to being done with this project that I'm afraid of screwing up something dumb, so I can't stop second guessing myself.

Have you got them all worked out yet? the hose in the diagram marked PVC goes to the passenger side cam cover. The hose in the bottom pic goes to the upper coolant hose in the diagram.
