I have an 01 ford screw 5.4 2wd and every time I go play in water or mud I foul out at least 1 to 3 c.o.p's on the passenger side and it always include the back one on the passenger side. I'm really wanting to get a 4x4 f150 but leaning more toward going back to my 94 z71 if this is going to be happening to the other truck too.

It's because you're splashing water up in there and it sits on them. You'll do the same thing with any other newer truck. These trucks aren't meant for bogging like that.

Easy fix bud - stay out of the mud/water. I've never had a cop act up from off goofing off, because I don't do that.

I use dielectric grease on all the connectors in the engine compartment. Are the top of your COPs cracked? Water could be getting the cracks. Eight new cops are $80.00 - $100.00 on ebay.

I can't stop myself! Lol and the thing is I see people on here all the time talking about muddin and nothing happens to theirs. And I thought if I put grease where the boot connects to the block it would hold out the water that didn't work.

If the boot doesn't seal the hole in the cylinder head then water will get in. Time for new boots.
