I haven't yet. I was thinking about running out to a wrecking yard and taking a look, but my back has kept me close to home as of late. I would appreciate any help I can get from you DadsOleF150. If you do pull it down, would you look at the wires from the readout, to the plug. There are 6 on mine and since the plug was cut off on the end, I need to know where each goes. I know it's a lot to ask.
Like I said, I'd appreciate any help you guys can give.
I'm putting a Pontiac console in my Explorer. It isn't a reader style, but it has dual lights, a place to put my sun glasses (or whatever) and I added a HomeLink 3 button control to the face, so that both garage doors are able to be opened with one controller. This was a simple install and wiring a cinch. The F150 is more complex and need info to keep from torching the electronics. Thanks

If the connector is plugged into the board, assuming the board is sitting as it would in your truck, the far right wire goes to the first pin on the bottom of connector. The second from right goes to the pin above #1. #3 goes to pin beside #1. #4 above #3. #5 beside #3 and #6 above #5

Ok I can work with that for the board side. Do you happen to know the other side of the plug now for the colors of the wiring so that I can finish making a harness to go to the individual items? Where do the 6 body side wires hook up to the connector? I still need the harness side now. The schematic shows colors, but not where each pins into the molex connector. The new harness connector (Ford) has more wires, yet they are all black. There is no differential in each, other than that they are plugged into the molex.
I appreciate your help there Dads... Very much so.

If I were doing this without connectors, I would wire #1 wire to yellow w/ green stripe wire. #2 to black w/green stripe. #3 to brown w/ black stripe. #4 to green with brown stripe. #5 to green w/ orange stripe. #6 to red w/ black stripe.
Not sure if this is what you're needing

I have a schematic and can go with the colors to a specific slot. I didn't know where they went, as there was NO factory connector, just a bunch of wires laying there. I found a 6 pin molex out of my stash of junk, and set it up the way it looked like I needed. I will have to change 2 wires around, but that is just a simple push in and remove the terminal, then switch with the other.
I'll check it out in the morning. Thanks again. I really appreciate the help.

With the help on the wiring colors, a picture of the harness plugged, so you can see the colors and placement, and a pic of where the electronics plugs in and goes to the harness plug, would be the best, if possible.
Again, thanks for the help. Usually I give it out, but in this case, I couldn't find anything that would cover the console side of the electronics plug in. I appreciate the help guys.
