Default my new to me f150

Hey all I got me a new to me f150! Its a 97 flare side 4x4 4.2l 5 speed! I paid 2400 for it, I bought it from my dad, which he bought from the original owner years ago.just thought I would show you guys my new pride and joy!

Hmm.. Shoulda had a 5.4. Lol. Nice looking truck. I have a 97 XLT that's that color too but with silver two tone and mines an extended cab short bed with 2wd and an automatic.

Lmao I was also thinking about how small it is. And it looks awkward with the step for the doors, and you should take the bug guard off, that only looks good on bigger trucks. And I'm not a fan of hard tonneau covers, but to each there own. If I were you I'd change the wheels, tires, give it some lift cause it looks so small but not too much, and change the headlights. And I think it would look better with a styleside bed, but that's not something you would want to go to the trouble as expense of changing.

Thanks for some of the ideas, I do want some new rims, any ideas which ones would look good? I am going to remove the hard cover.

It totally depend on your preference, but the rounder 2000-03 bumpers are a direct bolt on swap to your truck, you'd have to swap grills though.

I plan on doing this to my 97 XLT 5.4l extended cab short bed. This is what mine looks like right now and I hate the grill and bumper.

Well on some advice I got from the forum I took off the steps and the hard cover I think it looks a lot better! The steps and cover are for sale if anybody wants them.
