I might eventually do a really small lift, 2-3 inches, but that'd be down the road. It's not 4x4, my driving is never really offroad besides taking my fishing boat down a ramp, and I'm pretty okay with the stance as it is now.

I think I'd agree with that, yeah. My guess is the bug guard was always there, and they just added the grille guard without even thinking about it.

BTW...

Saw this on CL in my area for $4800, I have VIN because I was interested but logic turned me since I have a 2003 Screw. Trying to get someone I know to buy it, this truck has potential and I would like to see it grow.

Just read the ad again,I'm pretty much running the set up he has but I have an extra 1.5" of suspension lift and my tires are an inch wider, look at the difference in the front end. He must have his T-bars maxed out or something, looks like he could fit 39.5s on the front of his truck.

The color looks really good!! I wish mine was that color instead of black.

As for the grille guard, it's made by a company called Ranch Hand. I believe it's the Legend model. It would appear to be a solid $500 piece of steel. Prepared for the zombie apocalypse, I am.
Lol. Thanks. Hope she lasts a long time

I think I'm going to try out modding the interior lights too to include footwell lighting when the doors are opened, something like http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-i...umination.html

Picked her up a bit ago. New shoes made a huge difference all the way around, as they should. Also started doing some work cleaning, starting to smell a little better now.

Get her washed and waxed today. Shampooed the carpets, cleaned a bunch of the little crevices and such of grime, fixed the header console compass (common broken solder joints on resistors), and took off the bug guard as suggested.

I've managed to get a good chunk of the old smoker smell out now. I think the carpet shampooing went a long way towards that. The one bad thing I noticed taking the bug guard off was that every where it contacted the body above the grill, it basically sanded down the top coat. Pretty unnoticeable, but makes me worry about rust in the future. Maybe some Duplicolor is in order.

Here you go, washed, waxed, new shoes, no bug guard. Now it's time to start ordering parts for everything I want to do to "make it mine" and probably start a mod thread, heh.

Looks good! Looks much better without the bug guard in my opinion
