Every guage (or the tachometer and speedometer) go from the lowest part of the guage then max out and the back to the low part; or they sweep across.

Had mine do that last week before I replaced the battery. Was only getting 10.5 v with a bad cell.

I had a car that did the same thing when I turned the key to start it.
All of the gauges would peg to far right.
The gauges always worked fine when it started so I never did anything about it.
Battery check is a good idea.
Somewhere you probably have a bad ground connection.
Do the gauges work with the engine running?
If so you got GREMLINS!

Mine did that when the battery got low. Eventually had to get a new battery. Like they said, check the connections, clean the connections too, make sure all the acid is out of there so you have good contact with the battery.

It did it after i changed my starter and solenoid. The battery ended being bad. But replaced it and it started doin it again. I think i just change my baat terminals cuz they just look wore out and go from there. I think its my connections.
Thank guys for your help!!!
