I did use red loc-tite on both the stem of the rivet nut and the bolts but I think I should have held off on the bolts until I was sure I had no leaks. There is a gasket on the track of the rack that sandwiches the rtv to the roof so it shouldn't fail. I used black RTV but windsheild sealant would have probably been a better choice.

When I paint my truck in a few years, I'll use the windshield sealant.

ah, That is what I needed, I was afraid the rtv wouldnt seal good enough.
