My engine is making making loud ticking noise, and it sounds and smells like a gocart

I opened up the engine and let it run and I noticed some aching going on under the throttle body cover, to I took off the cover and found the COP had been ejected and was broken. I looked into the cylinder and saw that the spark plug was gone, and lucky did not take the threads with it. So I'm going to buy a new COP and plug and see what happens. One weird thing that I noticed was that I had basically no oil in my engine, my last change was less than 3k miles ago, so that's a mystery for now.

probably valve cover gasket. And hmm I didn't think the 4.6 blew plugs

Why wouldn't it. The 4.6L and 5.4L use the same heads.

Yea, -even the V10's use the same heads as the V8's...hence the word "Modular Motor". The only difference is the V10's have another two cylinders. Other than that those are identical as well.
