Default My Engine Doesnt Like Mobil 5w30 High Mileage

Well I changed my oil to some 5w30 Mobil High Mileage to give it a shot and when it is warm out it makes the engine is quieter and feels nice and smooth. However when it got to 28 last night and I started it up this morning I got chatter for far too long. It probably had audible chatter for a good minute or two. So basically this stuff is coming out today. Im moving back to a 5w20 variant. What are yall running as far as oil and filter?

I had the same problem with losing about a quart every few weeks. So I switch back to 5-20 haven't lost any since. 2002 4.6

Lol I don't think the farmer that had this truck knew that wad a thing. I guess with this thing getting at 200k I was thinking about trying the high mileage types.

I thought 5w30 went into these motors. The oil cap on my 98 4.6 says 5w30. Someone may have switched oil caps on me....who knows.
