Like I said before. You bought good stuff. Should not have any problems. Do you have a programmer or a gauge so you can the different in water temp?

My Flex-a-lite hose-thermostat adaptor and Ford Pigtails arrived today.

*After looking closer at the Ford Fan I discovered that one of the top mount hooks of the shroud is cracked. I'm kind of irritated because I was hoping to install everything tomorrow now that I have all the parts.

I'm going to research the Flex-a-lite controller a little more tonight, I might order the entire kit and return everything I've bought so far. lol

What's drawing me to the flex-a-lite is the 28A vs. 63A. If I do it though I'd go with the Flex-a-lite controller and not the Painless.

Honestly I wouldn't be thinking about any of this if I didn't have to return the fan.

How bad is the crack in it? That sucks. I would definitely have considered the flexalites if I didnt get mine for $40.

It's bad enough that if I hang it off the radiator it'll break off the rest of the way. I got it off Amazon so exchanging it wouldn't be a big deal but I just noticed the Flexalite kit is down to $500.

I know those fans you have right now can handle some bs but I would have to go flex a lite just for their stats. I really like the lower draw.

Tomorrow is the big day, lol. I kept the fan and setup I already bought.

I still haven't decided what I'm going to do about the shroud. I'll wing it and see what I want to do after its all together and working.

I am going to convert mine over with a Mark VII fan with a Volvo 2 speed relay. The only thing I haven't quite solidified is where I am going to mount the sensor. I've got a BMW 2 speed sensor.

Just curious where you'll be putting your sensor?

I'm not sure yet. I'll figure it all out tomorrow when I start pulling the fan and making the brackets.

It really isnt a very bad swap at all. I was considering brackets before I decided to take the long way around and hack up a perfectly good shroud. With your body lift you should get about equal coverage with the efans as you had with the offset mech fan.

WHat you see here are the places I made cuts to the shroud to make it fit while using the most of the factory mounting locations.

Doing it this way will allow me to mount the Shroud in Four factory locations.

1x: Passenger Upper factory Bolt and Radiator location
1x: Passenger Lower U-catch
2x: Both upper shroud U-catches that "Hang" over the Radiator

The only bracket that needs to be made is the Driver's Upper Bolt. A 1-2" relocation piece need to be used. I'm using/modifying the bracket that came with my 3" body lift.

I won't have a solid mount for the Drivers Lower. (That may change before the job is done.)

I am using my old Radiator to mock up the fan fitment so don't get Internety about working on what you think is my working radiator, lol.
