Default My 98' F150 "Fraptor"

Hey everyone. New to the board, names Chris...

So i recently i picked this beast (98 F150 XL 4X4 ) for a whopping $500! My DD is an 06 Spice Red GTO and after last years winter, i just cant risk it anymore especially after a very close call in the snow.

Long story short my mechanic buddy had this come into the shop, lady's husband passed, wanted to know how much to fix but too much for her and not worth it. His boss was about to scrap it and i jumped right on it! Needed new battery, starter cable, rims, and tires. Just broke 100k too.

"Acquired" new tires from my UPS driver, $50 for all for rims.fixed everything else. I wrapped her all flat black and threw dark charcoal metallic 2012 Raptor Graphics on.

Sucks *** on gas but its nice to finally give the goat a rest!

and my baby..

Thanks! Im in the vehicle wrap/graphics supply business.. been doing it for about 9 years... I had one of my customers who had a " hook up" give me the file for the raptor graphics, edited the file and extended it to fit an 8 ft bed and voila! The graphics are dark charcoal metallic, but at certain angles it actually looks gloss black. Definetely and unexpected but cool effect!

Wow that truck would look so good lifted! The wrap looks great man. If you were to do the same thing for an 03 f150 supercrew, what would you charge for that?

Thanks! Hah i would do it for a lift kit lol! this was just a $500 beater but im slowly getting into the truck game now. Its tough going from 500hp daily to a 8ft boat but its a nice change when i want especially to let the GTO get a rest for a little while.

Honestly material would probably be a couple hundred and x2 that in labor, i would do it but unfortunately im in NJ.

the "FRAPTOR" graphics would be a hell of alot less but installation was a pain! if youve never applied vinyl id recommend looking into installation a little before diving into it by yourself. A buddy is a must lol

Appreciate it, this poor truck sat for a while, rims rusted to ****, tires shot, starter shot... but honestly she runs super strong and for $500 for a winter vehicle im really happy. Trans is smooth, breaks probably by end of year but other than everything else checked out.

The only thing im weary of is the tires. Brand new ( 400 miles on em) but came off of a ford van/ work truck i think so theyre not at all knobby and more of a Highway Tire. Im used to somehow manuvering and driving the GTO in the snow so i know how to drive but ive never ever owned a 4x4 truck. Will she be ok with those bleehhh tires 4x4 in the snow?
