Bored .020, forged crank & rods, hypereutectic pistons, standard head job. Its mostly stock other than the rotating assembly. Hoping one day to pick up a Lightning blower. Maybe a set of cams before that. Wanted a dependable driver that don't mind getting dirty at the mud bog.

The pistons wont take very much abuse..... Why cheap out on pistons with a forge rotating assembly?

My thoughts... lol

On a side note... 2000 navi oil pan wouldnt work with that pick up tube. Got a f150 pan and it still wouldnt fit with that tube. So I ended up grinding down the original cobra pick up and used it. Oil pan on. Studs are in. Heads are at the shop.

Wanted to keep it light. Plus, started running thin on the budget. Not running boost so they'll be fine. Even under light boost they'll hold up if I ever get a charger. Oh, well...

BTW, they are coated skirts.

Installing the timing cover with the oil pan already on?

Well its not actually on. Just mocked up basically. I need 4 more oil pan bolts 2 for rear crank cover and 2 for timing cover. I basically just wanted to get it "on" knowing I had the right mixture of pump, pick up, and pan. Nothing is torqued yet.

get the studs for 11 bucks man.. makes things so much easier when installing a gasket or sealer.

The only way to go.... I used a set of SS, but these should work fine.
