i know. It's horrible. It's like picking a scab. With luck, I'll have the frame mostly cleaned and painted by next weekend.

How hard are brake lines? I've never done those before.

Is this the type of kit I want, or is it actually easier to buy a roll of line and bend it myself?

Man this is going to be a pretty good project. I was going to say I would sell you mine and you could tell everyone you already finished it. Lol

Great kit ^^, that should make it easy and quick. I went with zinc coated about 11 years ago which held up great. I purchase a 26' roll of line from auto zone. Replaced all hard lines. Cut, flared, bent and replaced fittings. It was a PITA acquiring all the correct fitting back then. Ford used a few that were difficult to find. I went through two cheap flaring kits as they wear out quickly...but they were cheap kits.

So hell yea, that kit you posted cuts away all of the some what problematic headaches. I wish they offered those kits back then. Would of been a cinch. Go with the kit most definitely, you'll be glad you did....easy peasy.

Btw and case your not aware, the bed needs to stay off for the rocker panel repair. I imagine you already know, just in case.

I had to cut EVERY bed bolt on the 98, I ran out of torx, you can only grind those torx back down square once after snapping one lol. Not sure if you experienced that yet. I lucked out finding a new set of factory bed bolts on E bay for 40 bucks to replace. I have two extra lying around btw, the set I purchased was for an 8' box and are Ford factory fasteners.
