Worth more? Are you talking scrap value? Most highflows are $80-$100 and yards pay about 40 per catalytic converters

Inspection every year is a good thing. It takes a lot of unsafe death traps off the road but where I'm from it's a joke. You pay your $30 get a yellow slip and a new sticker and your good for another year. If the shop finds problems, take it to someone who will overlook them.

You don't need 4 cats, you just need two. I know nothing about emmisions checkups though so I cannot tell you there what the deal is but I can't see anything with a "straight pipe sound" passing. I know I've heard stories about stock vehicles failing so I have no idea what the expectations are but you could run your stock exhaust emissions time and then go to another system afterwards if you have some installation skills.

When I did mine it worked out even. I got 160 for my factory cats , -all 4. It cost me 160 for the high flows I purchased.

BUT, I heard guys getting as much as 200 for their old converters. Probably depends upon what the precious prices are at the time.

I know Magnaflow sells CARB/NOX compliant HF's. WILL pass emissions/sniff in every state but California.

Who are you guys selling your cats to? Junk yards? Exhaust shops? Scraping them?

As soon as I get my truck back I'm thinking about cutting out my 4 cats and replacing them with 2 mangaflows. I'm just worried that I will loose to much back pressure with 2.5 inch pipping and it will be too loud with my magnapack.

No, you won't loose any low end with that configuration, thru the factory tune. It's when you go cat-less, you have to tune for it. Or the truck will fall flat on it's face, - drone buggy lol.

But most don't really care about that around here. They want it loud and who the frick cares about the rest.
