Mounting lights behind grill?
#11
Now an XLT in Colorado
I have a set of Hella 500's behind the grille. They're mounted upside-down, hanging from the top of the header. I added some brackets to stabilize things that run from the mounting points up and back to the radiator support where rivets hold them in place. Sorry I don't have pics of the install, but I could pull the cover and shoot a couple this weekend if you think it would help.
Also, the bumper doesn't need to come off, just the lights and grill/surround. (I did need to Dremel some reliefs in the header to get wrenches on the fasteners).

they're just some cheap off brand. Nilight is their name. 2 2 inch cubes and the middle ones are 6 inch I think. The brand isn't the greatest quality but they work for my needs. 70$ when it was all said and done. For once I don't regret going cheapo
