Default More intake issues

I recently put a K&N intake on my 2001 5.4 King Ranch and it didn't start or even crank. Removed and re-installed stock and still wouldn't crank. Let it air out a little and then it did start, but now the Check Engine light is on and has not cranked again after working all weekend. Any thoughts or suggestions

Yeah, I attached both sensors and reconnected the relay to the 1st sensor. I keep reading that the K&N filter may be over oiled, but don't know how to determine if that's the problem.....and their customer service is not responding yet since its a holiday weekend

You are better off doing gotts mod and returning that intake. For 20 bucks you can have a better setup.

Using the K&N you have to clock the maf correctly or it will over fuel. K&N Filters out of the box are over oiled and will dirty up the maf very quickly.

You probably have a leaking vacuum. It will perform much better without connecting the MAF Sensor..
