Default Modifed Gott Air Intake with a SUPERCHARGER Short Ram Cold Air Intake

I was noticing on e-bay that they had a SUPERCHARGER Short Ram Cold Air Intake for about $30.00. It looks like a jet engine with the fins and rotates at a max of 5500 rpm. Its adjustable from 2.5 inches to 3 inches with a sleeve and fits inline just before the MAF sensor. It would appear that a safer place for it would be inline ahead of the filter which looks like it could be done in the Gott modification process.

Has anyone tried this I know the obvious would be that if or when it flew to pieces that the intake would be eating some cheap metal and $30.00 bucks might cost you 3K.

You learn from your mistakes, I guess.

If you have 30 bones I'd say go for gold

I have thought about this, with the current line of brushless motors I think if properly engineered you could do it. But these are designed to only operate at full throttle and 2-3 PSI. Not worth the money. If you could 5-7 PSI, and slowly ramp up the boost like a typical supercharger or turbo that would work. I think you would end up spending as much doing that as what is proven to work.

If you think about it, my 10th scale Traxxas Slash 4x4 requires around 130 amps to push it 50+ mph, you have my brain working, Look up Remote control ducted fan jet, that is what these guys are using.

You need to do more than move air. Its needs to build pressure in the intake manifold.

Hot Rod strapped two leaf blowers to their Vette-Hack project and picked up 24hp so it's lame but a couple lbs of boost is a couple lbs of boost.
